Like I stated in my previous post The Demonatta series prefers to switch from character to character fromm book to book, always leaving a "bridge" behind that catches the interest of the reader such a excerpt from the next book.In Demonatta eight showed a transition/acception in the characters personality and outer appearance through his actions a dialouge. Grubbs Was originally squeamish when it came to killing, but after his "change" his thoughts became a bit gruesome actually, enjoying the feel of a kill, immersing himself in the instincts of his new form.
Demonatta 9 how ever began where two stories diverged in Demonatta 8. It began with Kernel realizing his "change" made him different also. he was able to see new lights ,or portals, that affected his decisions . When disobeying their silent wishes they caused him to seize up and suffer knowing knowledge that may affect the entire world and all those close to you and not being able to share it.this book show the journey that kernel undergoes to realize his destiny. As he progresses he realizes the important choice he has to make stay and live or leave and die.
